To buy your ATAC ticket on nugo, just select the city of Rome from the “Tickets” section and choose the fare you prefer from the ones on nugo.

How do I buy my ATAC tickets on nugo?

To buy your ATAC ticket on nugo, just open the app, tap "Tickets" and choose the city of Rome.

You'll find the ATAC card and you can tap to choose between the BIT standard ticket, 24/48/72h tickets, or the monthly pass for complete freedom of travel.

How do I use my ATAC ticket?

To be able to use your ATAC ticket, just access the details from the "Purchases" section of the app.

Choose the type of transport from the options "Bus/MetroC", "Metro" and "Train" and use the QR code to pass through the metro barriers or get on board other ATAC transport.

ATAC timetables

ATAC operates different types of transport including the metro, buses and trams.


Line A: Anagnina - Battistini

Line B: Laurentina – Rebibbia/Jonio

Line C: Pantano – San Giovanni

The Rome metro's first departure is at 5:30 am and the last one at 11:30 pm. On Friday and Saturday the service is extended until 1:30 am.

The buses and trams start running at 5:30 am and run until midnight. There is also a night bus service operating from midnight until 5:30 am. The main night bus terminals are Piazza dei Cinquecento (Termini Station) and Piazza Venezia.

Rome Laziali – Giardinetti trains start running at 5:30 am on weekdays and run until 10:30 pm. On Sundays and holidays the service is guaranteed from 5:50 am until 10:10 pm.

The Rome – Lido line starts running at 5:08 am and runs until 10:30 pm. On Saturday the service is extended until midnight.

The Rome – Viterbo urban railway line starts running at 5:25 am on weekdays and runs until 10:40 pm. On Sundays and public holidays the service is guaranteed from 5:50 am to 10:10 pm.

ATAC tickets and passes are valid on buses, trams, trolleybuses and metro lines in Rome.

They can also be used on the urban routes of Cotral buses and Trenitalia (2nd class only), Rome-Lido, Rome-Giardinetti and Rome-Viterbo regional railways.
